While
our world is dealing with unprecedented demands on our
natural resources many companies are looking for ways they can
participate in the solution. We felt that in order to be sustainable
we needed to be local. Our products as a whole needed to be produced
locally with the smallest footprint possible on our environment. We
have created a process that we believe is the ultimate in sustainable
environmental stewardship.
In
2008, we saw a need for a paper that was cost effective and made
good environmental sense. Oregon Paper was created to fill those
needs. We are able to utilize the "side trim" of large parent rolls
that would otherwise be recycled or re-pulped. This savings equates to
a large carbon footprint reduction. With a combination of using local
raw materials, local employment and utilizing the side trim concept we
create a product that is both sustainable and exceeds even the most
demanding green standards put forth in the market today.
